Briefing and Team dinner Saturday night

The participants from all 4 countries met on the Saturday night for a briefing and the traditional team dinner. Everyone had a great time and the night before the big day was spent in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Show Manager Helle Ferrold bid everyone welcome to the Nordic Championships 2009.

A random draw decided in which order the teams were to compete. Here it is Sofie from the Danish HTM Team revealing the Danish draw.

The Swedish team supporters were making a video to promote HTM and Freestyle in Sweden and they came to the dinner and interviewed both the teams and the organizers.

The norweigan show

Norway is not in the competition, but Merete Huser and Khan from showed us a impressive and funny boxing-routine and promissed that Norway will participate in the nordic freestyle championship next year.

Freestyle individual competition.

All the teams in the individual competition did convincing routines, some was even better than in the first heat.
Anja and Queeny showed a touching routine to music from "Lord of the Rings". Queeny showed some beautiful positions.

The last HTM team Emmy and Wisper did a convincing routine to music from the movie "Ratatouille". Wisper was very concentrated through the routine and had good positions.

Helle og Cookie

Helle og cookie leverede et overbevisende show til "Skibet skal sejle i nat". Cookie arbejdede koncentreret og havde flotte positioner.

HTM competition starts

Denmark is the only nordic country with a HTM team. First HTM team on the floor is Sofie E. Hjort an border collie 13 year old Gaia. The are performing a beautifull native american routine with a camp fire as a prop.

The two last dogs in the preliminary freestyle round was both blue shelties.

Charming Biscuit and Emmys Beauty and the Beast-rutine was beautiful and very cute.

Defending nordic champion, Siri and eager Sonic, performed a convincing and very fast routine.

Pumi Zing and Lina

An impressive western routine with a vere attentive and keen little dog.

The happy and cute golden retriever Anni and her handler Tiina showed a refreshing break dance routine.

Danish Annette and Neo was disqualified for having a toy in the ring and Finish Wunjo was disqualified for leaving the ring.

Johanna and Soda

Johanna and Soda showed a nicely performed, accurate sailor routine.

Finland and Sweden

Tailwagging flatcoted retriever Wunjo and Cammila from Finland was unfortunately discualified because the Wunjo left the ring.

Li and kelpie Grynet made a well perfomed very fast routine to Holding out for a Hero.

Jette and Addi

Charmerende lille gravhund Addi og danske Jette gav en overbevisende opvisning til Zorro.

Charming little dachs Addi and Jette gave an convincing performance to Zoro.

Rock 'n' Roll

Swedish Linda and keen little Holly showed a well performed, fast and funny Rock 'n' roll show too "Rock around the Clock".

Svenske Linda og DK/S gårdhund Holly viste et veludført, hurtigt og morsomt rock 'n' roll show til "Rock around the Clock".

Annette and Neo

Den første danske ekvipage i konkurrencen var Annette Dalgaard med Neo. De viste et flot bokse-show til Eye of the tiger.


The first danish team in the competition was Annette Dalgaard with Neo. They showed us a fast boxing show to Eye of the tiger.

Agnes and bordercollie Pelle

Agnes and her eager border colie Pelle made an impressive musical show to music from the musical Chicago.

Agnes og hendes meget ivrige border collie leverede et imponerende musical show til et nummer fra musicalen Chicago.

Den hvide hunds opvisning

Den danske freestyle reserve (Sofie E. Hjort og Quincy)åbnede gulvet til braveheart-remix. Første hund i konkurrencen var finske Johanna Anderson med newfoundlænder Manda. De lavede et meget sødt regnvejrsnummer med Raindrops keeps falling on my head, Singing in the rain og It's raining men.

The HTM nordic championship is opened

Jens Glavind, CEO of the danish kennelclub has opened the competition. The first team will be Sofie E. Hjort and Quincy.

God rejse! / Safe Journey!

I morgen vil være 'store rejsedag' og vi ønsker alle, der rejser til Herning en god og behagelig rejse. Det er vores håb, at NM 2009 kan afholdes i en venskabelig ånd. Vi er i Herning for at konkurrere, men vi er der først og fremmest for at danse og for at nyde vores talentfulde og loyale hunde. Vi glæder os til at byde jer velkommen til Danmark! Må det bedste hold og den bedste ekvipage vinde! Vi ses! :o)

Tomorrow will be the big travelling day and we want to wish everyone travelling to Herning a safe and pleasant journey. It is our wish, that the Nordic Championships 2009 can be held in a friendly atmosphere. We are going to Herning to compete, but we are first and foremost going to dance and enjoy our talented and loyal dogs.

Sverige har været nødsaget til, at foretage visse ændringer på deres hold, men ingen tvivl om, at det stadig er et meget stærkt hold, de sender til Danmark for at danse for de blå/gule farver.

Lina og pumien Zing, der også var på det oprindelige hold - Svenske Mestre 2009!
Li og australsk kelpie Grynet - også fra det oprindelig hold.
Linda og dansk/svensk gårdhund Holly, der deltog i NM 2008 og også kvalificerede sig i år, men valgte ikke at tage imod pladsen. Vi er glade for alligevel at se dem på holdet.
Agnes og Border Collie Pelle - Svenske Ungdoms Mestre.

Sweden has had to change their team for the Nordic Championships, but no doubt it is still a very stong team that are travelling to Denmark, to dance for the blue/yellow colours!
The Swedish team:
Lina and the Hungarian Pumi Zing - they were on the original Swedish team and are winners of the Swedish Championships 2009.
Li and Australian Kelpie Grynet - also from the original Swedish team.
Linda and DK/S Gårdhund (Farmdog) Holly - they were on last years Swedish team and had qualified for this years team, but withdraw. We are pleased to see them on the team.

Bedømmelserne starter kl. 9:

  • Konkurrencens 'hvide hund' (Sofie E. Hjorth med Quincy, den freestyle danske reserve) går i ringen og åbner konkurrencen.
  • De indledende runder i freestyle konkurrencen - 12 ekvipager.
  • Heelwork To Music konkurrencen - 4 ekvipager.
  • Merete Andersen Huser med Khan fra Norge laver opvisning.
  • Den individuelle Freestyle finale - 6 ekvipager.
  • Evt. opvisning med den finske reserve.

Til de danske supportere / For the Danish Supporters

Inge-Dorte har koreograferet en lille cheer dans, som de danske supportere nu har en uge til at øve sig på, inden det går løs ved NM i Herning!

Inge-Dorte has choreographed a 'cheer dance', which the Danish Supporters have a week to practise before the big day in Herning!

Supporten er tænkt som en dans udført i samme øjeblik som ekvipagen bliver annonceret. Dansen er så kort at den max ”forstyrrer” mens handler og hund hilser på dommerne!
Dansen gentages inkl. bølger når ekvipagen har afsluttet og klapsalverne brager løs!!!!
Selvfølgelig med de aktuelle navne på den hund og handler, der går i ringen.

Bølgerne laves kun 2. gange.

DVDen kan bestilles og betales på dagen eller den kan bestilles via Abertils hjemmeside efter konkurrencen.

Det danske landshold havde landsholdssamling i dag. Der var en række praktiske spørgsmål, der skulle afklares og ellers blev der bare snakket og hygget. En del tog ud og trænede sammen efter mødet - andre kørte hjem. Ikke alle har samme behov op til en vigtig konkurrence.

The Danish team met today. There were some questions and decisions to make, but it was mainly about building up the team spirit. Some team members trained together after the meeting - others went home. There are different needs and ways to prepare for such an important event.
